Yu holds a Master of Architecture and an MS in Architecture Design and Computation from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), along with a BA in Architecture from the University of Hong Kong. Before relocating to the United States, she worked as an architect in Hong Kong, managing a range of projects from luxury residential and commercial towers to primary schools. Now settled in West Lafayette with her husband, a professor at Purdue University, and their young children, Yu has acquired a comprehensive understanding of the local housing market.
